Expertly handwoven all-natural rope and reclaimed Burmese Teak are combined to create this one-of-a-kind bench.
This simple, elegant piece is a modern interpretation of The 'Charpoy' - the most common and basic form of seating in the rural villages of India for the past two Centuries. Charpoy literally translates to '4 legs' and it was historically the countryman's bed, which also doubled as main seating in one's hut or under the mango tree. Available with cotton cord or jute rope.
